1. Information We Collect
When you use CharismeAI, we collect:
- Screenshots and images you manually upload for analysis
- Text you type into the app (messages, context notes, conversation content)
- A unique device identifier (used to track credits; no name or email required)
- Usage data: credits used, features accessed, tone preferences
- Device information: OS version, app version
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA) if you interact with rewarded video ads
- Ad interaction data (impressions, completions) via Google AdMob
- Purchase transaction data (credit pack purchases) processed by RevenueCat and Apple
We do NOT collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account credentials
- Contacts, location, or browsing history
- Payment card details (all payment processing is handled by Apple via the App Store)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide AI-powered response generation from your screenshots and text
- Store your reply history and usage data
- Track credit balance and usage
- Serve optional rewarded video ads (via Google AdMob)
- Improve service quality and fix bugs
3. Third-Party AI Processing — Anthropic
IMPORTANT: When you use any AI feature in CharismeAI (Screenshot Analysis, Conversation Analysis, Generate Reply, Instant Lines AI generation), the following personal data is transmitted from your device to Anthropic PBC, a third-party AI company:
Data sent to Anthropic:
- The screenshots and images you upload
- The text you type (messages, context, conversation content)
- Your selected tone and mode preferences
Who is Anthropic?
Anthropic PBC is the company that makes Claude, the AI model CharismeAI uses to generate reply suggestions. Their servers process your data and return AI-generated responses.
How Anthropic uses your data:
Per Anthropic’s API usage policy, data submitted via the API is not used to train their AI models. Anthropic processes your data solely to return a response to CharismeAI.
Retention at Anthropic:
Anthropic may retain API request data for up to 30 days for trust and safety purposes, after which it is deleted. CharismeAI does not retain your screenshots after processing completes.

4. Firebase (Google) — Authentication and Storage
Firebase (Google) handles anonymous authentication (no email or name required), and stores your credit balance and anonymous usage history on Google Cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Firebase does not receive your screenshots or message content.

5. RevenueCat — In-App Purchases
CharismeAI offers optional credit pack purchases. Purchase transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store and managed by RevenueCat Inc., a third-party purchase management service.
Data shared with RevenueCat:
- An anonymous user identifier (your Firebase UID)
- Purchase receipts and transaction history
- No personal information (name, email) is shared

All payment processing is handled by Apple. CharismeAI never receives or stores your payment card details.
6. Google AdMob — Advertising
CharismeAI offers optional rewarded video ads powered by Google AdMob. Watching ads is entirely voluntary. If you choose to watch ads, AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS) and ad interaction data for measurement purposes. We do not show banner, interstitial, or forced ads.
7. Data Storage & Security
- All API communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit
- Firebase database access is protected by security rules
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing
- Screenshots are not stored by CharismeAI after AI processing completes
8. Data Retention
- Your reply history: retained while your account is active
- You can delete individual entries from your history at any time
- Account deletion removes all associated CharismeAI data within 30 days
- Anthropic may retain API request data for up to 30 days per their policy
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Review what data we hold (Settings > Account)
- Delete your account and all associated data (Settings > Delete Account)
- Request a data export by contacting tarikpanday20@gmail.com
- Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account and ceasing use
10. Age Requirement
CharismeAI is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
